Why would I need my teeth whitened?

There are several reasons why you might consider getting your teeth whitened. Just as our hair and skin color vary, so do our teeth. Few people naturally have brilliantly white teeth, and as we age, our teeth can become more discolored.

Surface stains from foods and drinks like tea, coffee, red wine, and blackcurrant can dull your smile. Smoking also contributes to staining. Additionally, tartar or calculus can affect the color of your teeth. Some people may experience deeper stains due to factors like certain antibiotics or tiny cracks in their teeth that trap discoloration.

Q&A's
How does the whitening process work?

Our whitening process starts of with cleaning/polishing of the teeth. We do this to remove the plaque and that way the product increases the penetration levels into the tooth enamel. The second step is protecting the gum with a OpalDam green resin barrier. We then begin the whitening process by adding a chemically activated gel to the labial surface of the teeth for 20 minutes. This process is repeated three times for a total of 60 minutes. After the desired results have been met, we rinse of the product and remove the barrier. We finally, record the your new shade.
